If you’re a peat fan, having a heavily peated whisky in a highball as a lighter drink in the summer is an ideal way to enjoy these whiskies. This new release from the GlenAllachie distillery team will appeal to peat lovers, with a rich dram featuring hints of chocolate, dark cherries, toasted nuts, manuka honey, smoked vanilla, and spice.

Strathearn Single Malt: A New Kid on the Block
Earlier this year, family-owned independent bottlers, Douglas Laing & Co, launched their first distilled whisky to the global market – Strathearn Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Made without automation, and using one of Scotland’s smallest mash tuns in one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries, the fermentation process for the liquid is a long 144 hours, allowing for a fruity character.

Old Forester’s Rum Finish: A Bourbon with a Twist
Old Forester has introduced its latest expression in its exclusive 117 Series, this one named for its standout feature: Rum Finish. This new release pays homage to the historic commercial trade on the Ohio River, which brought a variety of cask-aged spirits to the wharf behind the Old Forester Distillery on Whiskey Row.

Fukurokuju: The Fifth Instalment in Chichibu’s 7even Gods of Fortune Line
Salud Spirits, the drinks distributor based in the Netherlands, has released Fukurokuju, the fifth instalment in 7even Gods of Fortune, its line of single-cask bottlings made by Chichibu Whisky. This release has been matured for eight years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, with tasting notes highlighting green apple, roses, icing sugar, oliebollen, and tropical fruit.
