Beam Distillery Announces New Visitor Experiences & Events

The James B. Beam Distilling Co., home of Jim Beam Bourbon, has announced expansions to its visitor experiences, as well as additions to its events calendar. Expansions include brand-specific experiences centered around famous brands such as Knob Creek and Jim Beam. There will also be new tours and tastings led by Fred and Freddie Noe, the father and son Master Distilling team.

These new experiences follow a multi-million-dollar investment into the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in 2022, which saw the American Outpost revamped, The Fred B. Noe Distillery opened, and The Kitchen Table Restaurant established.

Nikka Blended Whiskies From 9 Different Decades for Its New Ultra-Limited Release

Japan’s second-biggest whisky company, Nikka, is celebrating its 90th anniversary with an extremely limited-edition blended whisky that includes liquid that was distilled over the past nine decades, including 80-year-old single malt that dates back to the 1940s.

Mayenda Reposado Double Cask Tequila

This unique reposado tequila is aged in two types of cask for a complex flavor. With at least six months of aging split between French oak and European oak casks, the tequila takes on layers of flavor from spicy to sweet.

Available in the U.S. and Mexico this month, priced at $75 per 750ml bottle.

Highland Park Offers a New Cask-Strength Whisky That Promises Complex Flavors

Highland Park, the northernmost distillery in Scotland, is releasing another desirable whisky in its cask-strength series. Highland Park Cask Strength No. 5 comes from the distillery, which has been operating in the beautiful and remote islands of Orkney since 1798.

With a hefty abv of 64.7%, the Cask Strength No. 5 has intense flavors of prunes and sultanas from the sherry casks, licorice and spice from the European oak casks, and cocoa and oak from the American oak casks. Plus, it has the smoky and sweet flavors that you’d expect from a Highland Park.

Priced at £80 or around $100 for a 700ml bottle.
