Jack Daniel’s Unveils New Batches of 10- and 12-Year-Old Whiskeys
Jack Daniel’s, the renowned whiskey distillery, is set to release new batches of its highly sought-after 10- and 12-year-old whiskeys. These age statement products mark a significant departure from the classic Old No. 7 Tennessee whiskey, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and quality.
The 10-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey, now in its third batch, first made its debut in 2021. Joining the lineup last year, the 12-Year-Old whiskey adds depth and complexity to Jack Daniel’s offerings. Both these expressions are part of the distillery’s Aged Series, hinting at the possibility of even older whiskeys in the future.
Master distiller Chris Fletcher expressed his enthusiasm for these new releases, stating, “Our Jack Daniel’s Aged Series embodies the artistry and craftsmanship that define Jack Daniel’s legacy. I’m thrilled for whiskey enthusiasts to savor these special batches this year.”
While each batch may exhibit slight variations, the core flavor profiles remain consistent. The 10-year-old whiskey boasts tasting notes of pipe tobacco, oak, and butterscotch, while the 12-year-old leans towards oak-forward flavors with hints of fruit and cocoa. Both whiskeys undergo maturation in new charred oak barrels, following the traditional Lincoln County process that sets Tennessee whiskey apart.
Available now in limited quantities nationwide, the 12-year-old batch two and 10-year-old batch three are priced at $95 and $85 respectively for 700-ml bottles. Online availability may come at a premium, but the exceptional quality of these whiskeys justifies the investment.
For whiskey connoisseurs seeking a taste of history and craftsmanship, Jack Daniel’s latest releases promise a sensory journey like no other.
