Bowmore and Aston Martin: A Luxury Partnership That’s Just Getting Started

The world of luxury whisky and high-end automobiles has seen some incredible collaborations over the years, but few have been as successful as the partnership between Bowmore and Aston Martin. Since 2020, these two iconic brands have been working together to create some of the most exclusive and sought-after whisky releases on the market. And now, they’re announcing the final installment of their Masters’ Selection series.

Aston Martin and Bowmore’s partnership is the epitome of luxury

The Journey So Far

It all started with the Black Bowmore DB5 1964, a limited-edition bottling that combined the finest whisky with the sleek design of the classic DB5. Since then, there have been several other collaborative releases, including global travel retail exclusives and the stunning ARC-52. This 52-year-old single malt, aged in a sherry cask and ex-bourbon hogshead, was housed in a futuristic glass decanter with a large metal top and sold for almost $300,000 at auction.

The Final Masters’ Selection Release

The latest and final Masters’ Selection release is a 21-year-old single malt aged in American oak tawny port casks and Oloroso sherry butts. According to the official tasting notes, you can expect nutty sweetness on the nose, followed by honey, salted toffee, orange zest, thyme, and milk chocolate on the palate, with light peat smoke notes on the finish.

Ron Welsh, Bowmore’s master blender, is the man behind this new whisky

“This fourth and final edition of Masters’ Selection defines the journey of this collaboration to date with absolute perfection,” said Ron Welsh, Bowmore’s master blender. “Uniting the spirit of both Bowmore and Aston Martin has been an honor and a privilege for everyone involved, and I am confident this shows in the quality of what we have created together. We look forward to continuing to explore and stretch the possibilities of this incredible partnership for many more years to come.”

What’s Next for Bowmore and Aston Martin?

While the Masters’ Selection series may be coming to an end, the partnership between Bowmore and Aston Martin is far from over. With plans to continue exploring new and innovative ways to combine their expertise, we can expect to see more exciting releases in the future. Whether it’s a luxury offering like ARC-52, a new series of Aston Martin-themed single malts, or something entirely new, one thing is certain - the best is yet to come.
