Whisky and Gin Flights Take Off at St. Andrews’ Old Course Hotel

Eden Mill Distillery: A Brief History

Established in 2012, Eden Mill Distillery is an independent distiller located on the banks of the Eden Estuary. It was the first distillery to produce spirits in the region for over 150 years. Today, the brand is building a new, innovative, and sustainable distillery.

Whisky and Gin Experiences

Guests can enjoy guided tastings of Eden Mill’s gins or whiskies in a private tasting room overlooking the 17th green on the golf course. Brand ambassadors will be on hand to provide insight into the making of the spirits.

Single Malt Flight

The Single Malt Flight consists of five drams that explore Eden Mill’s core range, as well as a mystery dram. The distillery is known for its distinctive Lowland style and exploration into cask finishes such as sherry.

Guests will sample a whisky highball containing The Guard Bridge Blended Malt Scotch, as an introduction to the brand’s house style. Then, the tasting will move onto the Bourbon and Sherry flagships, before sampling the ex-Cognac matured 2023 Art of St Andrews expression.

Coastal Gin Flight

Guests will sample three of the brand’s botanical gins, exploring how each gin takes inspiration from the iconic Fife coastline, which influenced the brand’s origin story. They will learn about key coastal botanicals, many of which are sourced locally to St. Andrews.
