Nc’nean Unveils Huntress Orchard Cobbler Whisky
Organic Scotch whisky distillery Nc’nean has introduced the latest addition to its Huntress series, the Huntress Orchard Cobbler. This limited-edition release is inspired by the Gaelic goddess Neachneohain, known for her bold and independent spirit.
The Huntress Orchard Cobbler is the third release in the series and stands out for its unique fruit-driven profile. The distillery experimented with its distillation process, resulting in a spirit that boasts a rich and fruity flavor profile.

Distillation Process and Maturation
The spirit for the Orchard Cobbler was produced at a specific cross-over point in Nc’nean’s distillation regime. This strategic timing, combined with maturation in a blend of STR red wine casks, ex-American whiskey casks, and organic oloroso sherry casks, has imparted distinct flavors to the whisky.
Tasting Notes and Availability
According to Nc’nean, the Huntress Orchard Cobbler offers a delightful combination of cherry Bakewell tart, apricot marmalade, and vanilla custard notes. Bottled at 48.5% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with natural color, this whisky is set to be available from 23 April at a recommended price of £88.95.
Commitment to Sustainability
Nc’nean, located in the western Scottish Highlands, prides itself on using organic Scottish barley and being B Corp certified. The distillery has achieved net-zero carbon emissions and bottles its whiskies in 100% post-consumer-recycled glass.
