Glenmorangie Unveils Fourth Cadboll Estate Expression
Glenmorangie has unveiled its fourth Cadboll Estate expression, a 15-year-old single malt whisky that pays tribute to the distillery’s homeland. The expression was distilled from barley exclusively grown in eight fields on the estate following the harvest season of 2007. The whisky was matured in “designer bourbon casks” that were air-dried and seasoned with bourbon at the distillery.
Featuring notes of honeycomb, apricots, and pears, the Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate Edition 4 takes Glenmorangie’s creamy character to new heights of deliciousness. According to Dr. Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky Creation, “Grown in just eight fields near the Glenmorangie Distillery, Cadboll barley brings our spirit even more creaminess. To accentuate its incredible softness, we aged the fourth batch release of Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate in our renowned designer casks.”

In other news, Isle of Arran Distillers has unveiled the newest installment in its limited-edition Signature Series, the Arran Barrel Bonfire Edition 2. The peated Barrel Bonfire is the second edition in the distillery’s four-part series, which began in 2023 with Remnant Renegade.
Tomatin has announced an expansion of its core range with the release of the Tomatin 12 Year Old Sherry Cask. Douglas Laing-owned regional malt brand, Big Peat, has unveiled its Fèis Ìle limited-edition bottling for 2024.

Tasting Notes
Official tasting notes for the new release are as follows:
- Colour: Deep gold
- Aroma: Beautifully aromatic, honeyed and sweet, with tastes of almond, marzipan, honeycomb, melon, and pear. Vanilla crème anglaise is present, along with a touch of mint. With a small splash of water, some classic floral notes emerge, with jasmine, lavender, and rose, along with a fresh burst of mandarin orange and apricot.
- Taste: The texture is smooth and creamy, and is immediately followed by an explosion of complex, colourful flavours: zesty lemon and mandarin orange, menthol and eucalyptus, vanilla and honeycomb, ripe pear and melon. Sweet spices tempered by butter candy.
- Finish: Full and rich, but gentle and soothing at the same time, rounded off by a lingering mentholic note.
