Suntory has unveiled a new global travel retail exclusive: The Kogei Collection. This collection comprises two Japanese single malt whiskies from the fabled Yamazaki Distillery and the Hakushu Distillery. The concept behind this collection is rooted in the Japanese principle of “Tsukuriwake,” which translates to “artisanship through a diversity of making.” This philosophy allowed Master Blender Shinji Fukuyo to break the traditional boundaries of distillation and maturation.
The Kogei Collection is named after the traditional Japanese craftsmanship of the same name. To commemorate this, the renowned kimono house, Chiso, was commissioned to create the packaging for the releases, emulating the traditional patterns of Japanese kimonos.
