Ardbeg Unveils Whisky Extravaganza at Fèis Ìle 2024

Ardbeg, the renowned whisky distillery, has set the stage for a groundbreaking reveal at this year’s Fèis Ìle festival. The Ardbeg Spectacular, a unique single malt creation aged in port casks, promises a sensory adventure like never before.

A sneak peek at the Ardbeg Spectacular

The Ardbeg Spectacular is a fusion of spirits meticulously matured in bourbon barrels and port casks. This limited edition release will captivate whisky enthusiasts with its innovative approach to flavor profiles.

Gillian Macdonald, the master blender at Ardbeg, expressed her excitement about the Spectacular, stating, ‘Ardbeg Spectacular is a high-flying spirit, very befitting of Ardbeg Day. Its years in bourbon and port casks create a spectacle of flavors, the like of which Ardbeggians will never have tasted before.’

The whisky boasts a medley of unique notes, including mint chocolate, incense, lavender, and smoked nuts, harmonized by a daring duo of salted caramel and tar.

A Dark Circus Celebration

In conjunction with the release of the Ardbeg Spectacular, Ardbeg is hosting a ‘Dark Circus’ extravaganza at this year’s Ardbeg Day on 1 June. Festival attendees can immerse themselves in a whimsical world of tastings and games, adding an element of playfulness to the whisky celebration.

Jackie Thomson, the distillery visitor center manager, shared her anticipation for the event, saying, ‘This Ardbeg Day we will celebrate our whisky in the most spectacular style, from this new limited edition to our core-range favorites like Ardbeg 10 Years Old.’

Availability and Pricing

Ardbeg Spectacular will debut in the UK and on ardbeg.com starting from 23 April, with a recommended price of £110. Whisky enthusiasts worldwide can look forward to its availability in various markets from late April onwards.
