A Royal Pairing: Indian Whisky Brand Indri Unveils ‘House of the Dragon’ Themed Bottlings with NFT Authentication

In a bold move, Indian whisky brand Indri has partnered with Virtualness, a blockchain and generative AI-powered authentication platform, to release a duo of ‘House of the Dragon’ themed single malt whiskies. This innovative collaboration brings together the world of whisky and technology, offering customers a unique experience.

The two expressions, House of Black and House of Green, are inspired by the central feud between Princess Rhaeynara and Alicent Hightower in the hit HBO series. House of Black, a peated single malt, embodies the fiery spirit of the Black council, with aromas of creamy vanilla and raisins, and flavors of figs, toffee, and chocolate. Meanwhile, the unpeated House of Green delivers a nose of bananas and pineapple, alongside a nutty, dried fruit palate.

“This collaboration exemplifies Indri’s commitment to innovation and delivering exceptional experiences to our customers,” said Piccadily Distilleries founder Siddhartha Sharma.

The whiskies are expected to launch at premium outlets in India, priced between ₹7,000-₹11,500 ($70-$130). Each bottle will feature a scannable QR code, directing users to an NFT certificate verifying their purchase.

Indri, founded in 2021, is India’s first and most awarded triple cask single malt brand. This latest release marks the brand’s foray into the world of Westeros-themed alcohol, a growing trend since the premiere of ‘Game of Thrones’ in 2011.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ franchise has inspired a wide range of co-branded bottlings, from beers to wines and scotch whiskies. While some have been met with mixed reviews, others, like the Clynelish Game of Thrones Edition Scotch, have impressed with their rich and complex flavors.

Indri’s take on the concept is sure to generate excitement among whisky enthusiasts and fans of the show. With its commitment to innovation and exceptional customer experiences, the brand is poised to make a mark in the world of whisky.
